FAQ and Videos

Do you offer custom sizes?

Yes! Please message us with any requests. We have the ability to source a wide array of materials and wood species; including live edge slabs.

How quickly do you ship?

We fulfill all custom orders in 1-3 weeks. If inventory is low, or for any reason we can't fulfill your order on time, we will be proactive and reach out to you personally.

Stocked items ship in 1-3 business days. Again, if for any reason we can't fulfill in that lead time, we will reach out and resolve the issue.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes! We offer free ground shipping via FedEx. At checkout, you will have the option to expedite for an additional fee. Please reach out with any questions.

Are your products safe around food and kitchens?

Yes! At Radford Pines Home Decor, we try our hardest to create durable products that are better for the environment. Traditional lacquer often has moderate to high VOC's and can yellow over time -- especially on oak.

Additionally, if you ever need to refinish your item, several layers of lacquer can be quite difficult to remove.

We're proud to offer our customers a zero VOC finish that is safe around food and lasts the test of time. Our finish is also easy to repair (if ever needed) and we will be here to guide you through it.

Do your products really have a 0 VOC finish?

Yep.

Most furniture companies use lacquer and apply it via an HVLP sprayer. While this is an extremely quick process, it has it's cons.

Most lacquer used has moderate to high VOC's (hard on the environment and bad for our health), requires more than 1 coat, can yellow throughout the years (especially in sunlight), and accentuates flaws in the wood -- including blonde and yellow streaks.

We spent a lot of time researching what finish to use; and we finally found it. Our's has 0 VOC's, is friendly in any area of the home, durable, won't yellow over the years, is easy to repair/refinish, and is so easy to apply anyone can do it.

If you have more specific questions, please message us and we'll get back to you.

Why do you use Sheppard Brackets?

Sheppard Brackets have been tested over and over and they have received amazing feedback on their products. To see their reviews, go here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/SheppardBrackets?ref=shop_sugg

Aaron Sheppard, owner and engineer of Sheppard Brackets, designed the original mounting system you now see online. This efficient system allows the user to hit any stud they want. So, long story short, you won't have to pre-drill your bracket to hit the stud you want. Mounting notches are spaced every .5".

Our shelves were engineered for Sheppard Brackets. So, they were (literally) designed for one another.

How do I create a "corner" shelf?

It's easy, and we'll be here every step of the way to help you realize your vision.

Corner shelves are the result of joining two shelves together at the seems in a designated corner. Corner shelves are not produced as one unit -- like is widely believed.

Please message us with any questions and/or requests. We can get you the corner shelves you've been dreaming of!

What sizes do you offer?

For traditional 8/4 (2" thick) shelves, we offer sizes 12" - 72" wide and depths 8" - 12".

Live Edge: we can source slabs in many, many different sizes. If you want an exact size, know that we will have to cut (square off) the ends... the front edge would still be live. But, not the ends.

Please see our individual listings for coffee tables, end tables and mantles.
